Another Successful Caroling Party!

The 9th annual caroling party went off without a hitch this year. It is amazing, we must have been better organized than usual, because we were actually ready when the first guest arrived, and didn’t spend the whole party running around like crazy people — we got to have fun. There were TONS of kids, and that was fine by Marie and Brian, they rather enjoyed having their friends over. Look for some photos soon in the photo gallery!

Back from the Greats

We went to visit Great-Grandma Vivian and Great-Granddaddy Bill on Friday and Saturday. While it was a stressful time for Mom & Dad (_talk about *nothing* being babyproofed…_) the kids had a great time, especially with Grandma’s ramp and Granddaddy’s pool table. They also picked pomegranites and holly berries, and Marie sang a full concert during dinner on Friday. What fun.

Rain, rain, go away

I’m happy to report that the general mood in this house has improved greatly! We had mac and cheese and apples for lunch. Brian kept putting his spoon in his bowl and saying “mmmmm!” Add in some quiet time for Marie, a nap for Brian, and a friend coming over to play this afternoon and you get a happy family.

Rainy Day

Sometimes when it rains we have fun. Today, we are all cranky. I did what I never thought I would do – after a couple hours of whining and grumpiness, I marched them into the toy room and turned on the tv. At least I got to watch the wonderpets save the puppy.

Return to Daycare

Today is the first day that Brian will experience daycare, and the first time for Marie since Miss Judy moved away last June. Laura is going to be working one day a week (on Wednesdays) and they’ll be in daycare for that one day.

Mom has been nervous all week. The kids were happy to get there this morning. If we remember, we’ll provide another report about how happy they were at the end of the day later.
