I am blessed beyond my wildest dreams! My family makes me so happy; it’s like a fairytale life. I am delighted to be a mother with all the ups and downs and mess and snuggles, and besides my children are just fun to be around.

Please Stand By…
Dad is home alone with the kids for the weekend. Mom has gone to Ohio to see Auntie Heather, Uncle David, and Baby Hayley. Wish us luck! Hopefully everyone will still be alive when Mom returns Sunday night.
Back from Vacation!
Photos and such will be posted soon. We had a great time at Disney and at Grandpa/Gammy’s house. More details coming soon!
no news is good news
All has been going pretty well with both kiddies. Marie started Swim class a couple weeks ago at “the rec center”:http://www.fairfaxcounty.gov/parks/rec/wcrec.htm and we’re both having fun. Brian is starting to “talk” more, and is eating cheerios by the fistful. Everyone’s pretty much over their colds, and we’re settling in to a good routine.
Getting better
The poor kiddies have had nasty colds all week. We kept them doped up on cough medicine and decongestants, but it kept going and going so Pete took them to the doctor on his birthday. They got some more medicine and they are finally feeling better. Marie still napped through lunch today, but she is coughing and whining a lot less. Brian was laughing when I was playing with him after dinner and I realized it had been a while – he must be feeling better too.
Merry Christmas!
Marie has quite a Christmas ahead of her. All her family and friends have been getting presents for her like mad. Only one problem. It’s 2pm, and she’s opened her stocking and two presents. This might take a while.
Then again, Brian hasn’t opened a thing…
Sleep? Who needs sleep?
Tuesday night, Marie and Brian were both feeling badly, they are fighting off a bit of a cold. Sometime around 3am, Marie came into our room and got into our bed. (This is normally less effort than bringing her back to her room.) Then, around 3:30, she pushed me off my pillow. So, it was time to go back to her room. Returned her, she cried, woke up Brian. Brian cried, then was calmed by Mom. Then Marie got up again. Then back to bed, then cried, then woke up Brian, etc… The process repeated until about 6am. Ouch.
Colds
Marie and Brian both are fighting a cold. Soon, mom and dad will be as well. Yecch.
Sleeping peacefully
Well, it finally happened. They are both asleep. It’s 2 hours past bedtime, though. Yikes! It’s so hard to know sometimes, even when they can talk, what they want and need. The good news is that they are both settled and happy and are sleeping peacefully.
Hotlanta
So, we got back from Atlanta on Wednesday. We had a great time! Marie went to her first organ/choral concert, we went to centennial olympic park, and went to the Atlanta Children’s museum among other things. Things are a little hectic right now, because dad’s office is having a party on Tuesday, and mom is having surgery on Wednesday. We’ll get some more updates and pictures up here soon!!
