Crazy Week!

Christmas Day: Quiet celebration with just the four of us, followed by a nice dinner with the Arnolds.

12/26: Christmas with the Schneiders! That wound everyone up pretty well. Marie got a bit of stomach flu that night, and kept us all up late.

12/27: Pete’s surprise birthday party! Gammy and Grandpa came up from Florida for a couple days (after a great deal of airport delays). Also that night I came down with the stomach flu.

12/28: Trip to the spy museum with Laura, Pete, Jim, & Suebee. Dinner with the above, the kids, and Billy & Regan at our house. Still feeling a bit miserable.

12/29: I begin to feel better. We say goodbye to Gammy and Grandpa and they head back to Florida. We relax in the afternoon and Mommy gets the stomach flu late at night.

12/30: A lot of cooking was done. Mommy was feeling alternately fine and terrible. Went to bed still feeling bad. We’re all hoping she can play the organ tomorrow, because Becky’s out of town!!!

Forgive me for not getting pictures up on here recently, I promise, they are coming!

Merry Christmas (almost)

Merry Christmas Eve, and a welcome to everyone that saw the site on our Christmas card and decided to stop by. We hope you like the site. We try to write about the both the fun and not-so-fun parts of Marie and Brian’s growing up to share with friends near and far. Stay tuned for updates, we usually write something new every couple days! Drop us a comment if you feel inspired to.

Outer Space

Tonight’s episode of Wonder Pets took place in space where the Wonder Pets had to rescue a chimp in a rocket. There was a meteor on a collision course so they had to tow the rocketship out of the way. They saved the day just in the nick of time! So we’ve had a few conversations about “medium rocks”. She refuses to believe they are called “meteors” and corrects me. 🙂

He can count!

Yesterday, I went to pick Brian up and he was struggling against me. As we often do, I began to count, with three being the number where patience officially runs out. I said “one…” and he said “two… three!!” So, he’s a genius. Or perhaps he is just a good mimic.

Another Successful Caroling Party!

The 9th annual caroling party went off without a hitch this year. It is amazing, we must have been better organized than usual, because we were actually ready when the first guest arrived, and didn’t spend the whole party running around like crazy people — we got to have fun. There were TONS of kids, and that was fine by Marie and Brian, they rather enjoyed having their friends over. Look for some photos soon in the photo gallery!
